Wishcasting Wednesday
Jamie asks "What do you wish to acknowledge yourself for?"
I want to acknowledge myself for facing adversity and becoming a better person because of it. I'm ok. I've made it through this. Things are never going to be the same again, they're going to be better.
When I first moved into the place I live now, I found a bedraggled, old Rose of Sharon in the alleyway. I trimmed back the weeds and the overgrowth so the light to get to it. Look at it now. This is how I feel too.

The Rose is beautiful!
How lovely Skeeter! You're in bloom. We have a giant Rose of Sharon bush in our yard that's magnificent. People often stop to ask what it is. What a lovely flower to want to be!
I wish you continued success with your ability to face adversity! That takes courage.

Bloom big, Sister.

Nice to see you're back in the blogsphere, and blooming!
I love your rose of sharon story!
I once found a geranium lying on the road, and my husband picked it up and nursed it back to health.
it sits beside me in my office.
What a great great story, and such strong acknowledgements. Power to you!
I've wondered where you have been, Skeeter. I've been away from blogland for a while. Hope whatever happened will heal soon. *gentle hug*
We have altheas (rose of sharon) in our garden, too. They used to have one whole side of the fenceline on the west. They had become fairly bedraggled and weren't blooming as much as they used to. We had a contractor take them all out, except for one at the end of the fence row. It is blooming wildly now and the rest of the flowerbed is thriving with the new shrubs and plants we put in this spring. Also, where the altheas had spread seeds or whatever, we have lovely blooms in amongst the wax leaf ligustrums along another fence...and by the backdoor, but that has been there for more than 40 years.
Hope all is well with you and to all those who are saying "As Skeeter wishes to acknowledge about herself". I say...Dude! wassup with that?? :) Stay well.
I found something you might enjoy reading. It made me feel so much better about some sadness in my life. They are gentle ladies who post really good recipes and from time to time inspriational posts.
