Yuck! Gnocchi with pesto is horrible. I've learned a new Italian phrase because of it. Dica appena no gnocchi con pesto. It means "Just Say No Potato Gnocchi Con Pesto." I picked the green coated chicken bits out of this dish and couldn't bear to finish. Yuck!

Gnocchi is best with tomato sauce. It's delicious like that. Otherwise... No.

Gosh, I'm sorry to hear you had a miserable meal. I haven't tried this dish, really but I was a bit surprised that an Italian dish would deserve a YUCK..hahaha Thanks for the warning though! :)
I'm not really clear how anything made from potatoes could be bad or having pesto on it would be bad. I love both...but thanks for the heads up. Is that why you tried to hide it with your napkin?

Was it really that bad? Gnocchi are good and pesto is good too. I agree with Amber Star, I would have never thought the mixture would be bad!
I made a homemade pesto and tossed it with some fresh gnocchi and it was out of this world!
