Gophers!

Went outside to get the yard squared away for the winter and found this in the flower bed by my door. This mounds was about a foot tall and swamped the Irises.

The Gophers are back. My new neighbor said that she found a mound by her garage, but I couldn't trace the dirt back to any tunnels. She hasn't had any other trouble since then ... because they've moved under my house!

Of course, this means war.

The dirtiest, nastiest kind of war ... Gopher WAR!

Wow, I thought Desert Storm was the big time, but its small potatoes next to Skeeter's Gopher war!

Two weekends ago I rounded up horses in the most gopher filled pasture I've ever seen. You kind of have to close your eyes and hope for the best when you're racing your horse across a pasture like that while trying to turn the herd.

Here in my Little Rock neighborhood, we are having an invasion of 'possums'. I have seen 4 road kill possums this past week...still, I would rather have road kill than gopher tunnels! Good luck and fight the good fight! Any tips on evicting squirrels from my porch roof?

Awww. Poor little guys. But yeah, if they were in my garden I'd be finding a way to get rid of them.

Or rather, Dan would.

Me.... what a joke that would be.
